Episode 11 – Level I, II & III: Today we discuss the mental aspects of pitching, along with the rigors of being a pitching coach at the college and Major League levels. Our guest, Derek Johnson, spent eleven years at Vanderbilt University with top coach Tim Corbin, and coached number-one pick David Price. Peter and Derek coached together on the 16U National team and competed at the World Championships in China and Japan. Derek was also the Minor League Pitching Coordinator for the Chicago Cubs and was recently hired as a pitching coach for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has spoken at the American Baseball Coaches Association Coaches Convention and wrote the book, The Complete Guide to Pitching.
