Coach Caliendo connects with one of his past players from when he was
Director Baseball Operations/Coach with the Professional Independent team in
the Northern League, pitcher Brian Toronto. Brian has been teaching throwing
and pitching for over 20 years and has done his research on the proper
movements. They discuss proper movements to be as effective as possible,
some things being taught wrong and what is the correct movement, weighted
ball programs and more.
They also get into drills to help pitchers footwork, linear movement,
deceleration and utilizing a javelin to help correct bad movements. Brian
discusses a drill called the reverse slingshot, discusses his new invention
