Ted Dorner is here for the first show in our series focusing on volunteer/parent coaches.
On this episode of Baseball Outside the Box, ‘Coach Caliendo’ welcomes a youth baseball coach from Sugar Hill, Georgia, Ted Dorner.
Today, “the Coach” is here to discuss the game and answer Ted’s questions about the areas of difficulty he has in practice and games while coaching his 7/8 year old in-house team. Dorner coached a rec (recreation) league 7/8 year old baseball team and a 7U All Star team this year at the North Gwinnett Baseball & Softball Association, where he is also on the league’s board as the Communication Director. He has been coaching for the past three years ever since his son, Trey, started playing tee ball at 4 years old.
This show is the first of our weekly Monday show’s, specifically geared for volunteer/parent coaches. This new and educational show for coaches around the world will air on Monday’s in addition to the more advanced coaching podcast on Thursday’s. The host, ‘Coach Caliendo’, is a former USA Baseball National Team Coach and has been working with volunteer coaches for over 35 years.
